WYOMING, Mich. (June 11, 2014) — The Wyoming Department of Public Safety will host its first tweet-along on June 11, and it’s also being called a virtual police ride-along.
The public is invited to follow @WyomingCityHall on Twitter, and from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., two police officers will “tweet from the beat”. During the tweet-along, officers will use the hashtags #WyDPS and #tweetalong. They will tweet about the calls they get as they work their shifts, but any information that could endanger someone, like a name or address, will not be tweeted.
For more information, call the Wyoming Department of Public Safety at (616) 530-7300 or visit the City of Wyoming’s Facebook page.
