Thousands Of People Without Power In West Michigan

KENT COUNTY, Mich. — More than 2,000 customers were without electrical service in Kent and Calhoun counties Wednesday night.

Consumers Energy currently shows the following three areas without power:

* Kent County east of Grand Rapids: 1,188 customers lost electricity at 8:49 p.m. Wednesday. The problem is still being diagnosed and there is not yet an estimated time of restoration.

*Battle Creek Township in Calhoun County: 645 customers lost electricity at 7:26 p.m. Wednesday. The estimated time of restoration is midnight.

*Battle Creek Township in Calhoun County: 240 customers lost electricity at 7:31 p.m. Wednesday. The estimated time of restoration is midnight.
