GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (June 7, 2014) — He’s one of the most dominating golfers the state has seen, and in the summer of 2013 Tom Werkmeister became the first amateur to win the Michigan Open in 38 years, now he’s being honored for his successes by being inducted into the Michigan Golf Hall of Fame. The ceremony will be held at Ferris State University’s Katke Golf Course, new permanent home of the Hall.
