GRPD: Armed Robber Targets Video Game System Sellers

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (June 4, 2014) — Police are seeking an armed suspect they believe robbed two people  who were trying to sell their video game systems.

According to Grand Rapids Police, the first incident happened at about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday in the area of Kalamazoo Avenue and 42nd Street.

The second one happened a short time later in the 1000 block of Alexander Street SE.

Police said the victims were trying to sell their video game systems and, when they showed up for the exchange, the suspect took them.  No injuries were reported.

Police describe the suspect as a black male between 6 feet 1 inch and 6 feet 3 inches tall, wearing dark shorts and a white t-shirt.  He was also carrying a backpack.
