WEST MICHIGAN — (May 31, 2014) Another gorgeous weekend ahead as a ridge of high pressure parks itself over the Great Lakes for the next few days. Clear skies and low humidity with a light breeze will help temperatures warm quickly throughout the afternoon but help high temperatures in the low to mid 80’s feel more comfortable.
Clear skies and calm winds Saturday night will allow overnight temperatures to drop into the mid to upper 50’s giving some nighttime relief from the warm afternoon hours.
Despite the cool start to the morning on Sunday temperatures will be quick to warm. Afternoon high temperatures will warm into the mid 80’s with mostly clear skies and calm winds.
Rain chances return as the ridge of high pressure breaks down and moves to the east Monday. By late morning Monday rain chances will increase. Chances for showers and thunderstorms continue through Monday evening with a few strong storms possible.
