GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (May 27, 2014) — It has felt like summer lately here in West Michigan. However, the last remnants of the long Michigan winter are hanging on in Lake Superior.
As you can see from the map above, there is some lingering ice on the southern end of the lake. As of Tuesday afternoon, Lake Superior is 1.1% covered in ice.
We received this picture on Monday from Greg Swift, who lives in Saranac. This was taken Monday afternoon at Grand Marais.
