BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (May 25, 2014)- A mother of three is believed to have been shot by the father of one of her children.

Now, 23-year-old Tianna Hunt is on life support and he’s still on the run.

Relatives of Hunt say she’s in critical condition after being shot in Battle Creek Friday night.

Battle Creek Police are searching for the man they say is responsible, Richard Denard Bozell, 27.

Tianna’s sister Jasmine Hunt says she witnessed the whole thing.

“I started my vehicle and her baby’s dad snatched the keys out of the ignition;  I went to chase after him to get the keys and that’s when he opened fire,” Jasmine said.

She says Bozell shot Tianna in the back and the bullet came out her side.

“She’s in critical condition still now,” Jasmine said.  “She’s still not breathing on her own, still not talking.”

This is even harder for Tianna’s family in the wake of her mother’s death. Angela Brown was stabbed to death  by her boyfriend in 2009. Now, the family is praying Tianna will get another chance.

“Just keep praying for her, that she’s strong, that she’s fighting and she’s getting better,” Jasmine said.

Richard Bozell is considered armed and dangerous.  If you see him do not approach him and call 911 immediately.
