Guns, Ammunition and Drugs Confiscated after Shooting, 4 Arrested

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich (May 19, 2014) – Handguns and a large amount of ammunition was confiscated from a home in Grand Rapids following an afternoon shooting on Monday.

Officers responded to the 800 block of Alexander Street around 1:00 p.m. after reports of shots being fired.  Authorities say an altercation led to a shooting in the area, but nobody was hit.

Four people were taken into custody, including two people who police believe were shooting at each other during the altercation.  Both those individuals are expected to face Assault with Intent to Murder charges.  Their names haven’t been released.

The investigation also led to the search of a home at 811 Alexander Street SE, where police say they confiscated five handguns, crack-cocaine, approximately eight pounds of marijuana and more than 1,100 rounds of ammunition.
