OLIVE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (May 17, 2014)– A Zeeland Township woman is in stable condition after being air-lifted to the hospital after a crash early this morning.

Jessica Kooienga, 23, was driving East bound in the 11000 Stanton Rd., when she lost control of her car, and hit a tree. Kooienga was pinned in and had to be extricated by firefighters on the scene.

The crash happened at around 4:26 am this morning. After she was out of her car, she was then taken by Aero Med to the hospital.

It is unknown if Kooienga was wearing her seat belt.

Ottawa County Sheriffs believe that alcohol was a contributing factor.

No one else was involved in the accident.
