PIERSON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (May 15, 2014) — A 20-year-old Sand Lake man was flown by AeroMed to the hospital Wednesday after the vehicle he was in struck a tree.
According to the Montcalm County Sheriff’s Department, the crash happened at about 2:22 p.m.on Waterwheel Road near West County Line Road in Pierson Township.
The driver, a 19-year-old Sand Lake man, lost control of his vehicle, ran off the road and hit the tree. He was not injured, and deputies cited him for a speed violation.
The passenger’s condition is unknown at this time.
