GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (May 14, 2014) —  The Grand Rapids Griffins and Texas Stars spent the first 20 minutes of Game 4 of the Calder Cup Western Conference Semifinals skating scoreless — the first period with no goals in the series since the third period of Game 1.

Apparently the Griffins were just stock-piling for the second 20 minutes.

Jeff Hoggan, David McIntyre, and Andrej Nestrasil all scored in a 10:10 span of the second period as the defending Calder Cup champions outlasted the Stars 3-2, tying the best-of-seven series at two games apiece.

Petr Mrazek stopped 33 shots in goal for Grand Rapids.

Game 5 is Friday at Van Andel Arena. Puck drops at 7:00 p.m.
