GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (May 14, 2014) — The Sons of Malta Motorcycle Club, composed of active-duty and former law enforcement members, firefighters, military personnel etc. is preparing to host the annual ‘EZ Memorial Ride’ in honor of fallen Kalamazoo Public Safety Officer Eric Zapata on May 24, 2014.
PSO Zapata was killed in the line of duty in April of 2011, and the annual event keeps his memory alive and honors all of those killed in the line of duty
The ride leaves the Old Mill golf course around 10:40 am and travels through southwest Michigan before returning to the course around 1pm. A golf outing, pig roast, concert and MMA cage fights will follow. For more information on the event click here.
