SODUS TOWNSHIP, Mich. (May 10, 2014)– One man is dead and one is in jail after a fatal two-car crash that happened late Friday night in Berrien County.

Kevin Gagliardo, 46, was pronounced dead on the scene; he was found laying in the road away from he car. According to police, Gagliardo was traveling north bound on River Road, when his GMC truck ran off of the road and rolled, causing him to be ejected. A second driver traveling south bound couldn’t stop in time, and crashed into Gagliardo’s truck, causing some minor damage. The second driver involved in the crash was arrested for drunk driving. After being treated at Lakeland Hospital for minor injuries, the driver was released, and officers say he will be lodged at Berrien County Jail.

According to police, alcohol seems to be a factor of the crash, and it remains under investigation.
