Search Continues for Suspects in Grand Rapids Teen Shooting

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich (May 8, 2014) – The search continues for suspects after a teenager was shot while riding a bicycle on Grand Rapids’ northeast side Wednesday night.

The 16-year-old victim was hospitalized after suffering a gunshot wound to the buttocks in the area of Clancy Avenue and Fairbanks Street.  The shooting happened just before 9:30 p.m.

The victim is expected to survive.

Officers used K-9 units to try to locate at least two potential suspects shortly after the shooting, but no arrests have been made.
