PORTAGE, Mich. ( May 4, 2014)- A garage connected to a home was damaged by fire, that’s according to the Portage Department of Public Safety.
It happened Saturday at 6412 Sussex. Firefighters said they were able to extinguish the fire quickly.
Investigators said the tenant was painting doors in the garage earlier in the day but didn’t notice anything wrong.
Everyone in the home escaped. No injuries reported.
Investigators said the fire appeared to have started in the corner of the garage. No word on what caused the fire at this time.
