The crash happend at about 2:55 p.m. on M-60 near White Temple Road, according to a release.

According to officials, a truck came up behind a Jeep at a high rate of speed and rear-ended it.  The Jeep was pushed off the road, into the front deck of a house and then into a tree.

All three people in that vehicle are residents of Elkhart, Ind.  The backseat passenger, a 54-year-old man, is currently listed in critical condition.

The driver and passenger in the Jeep are both currently listed in stable condition.

Nobody in the Jeep was wearing seat belts, and deputies believe alcohol is a factor in the crash.

The driver of the truck has not yet been located.   Deputies said the truck is a newer model, darker in color and sustained front-end damage during the crash.  They said it also was leaking fluid.
