SHERIDAN VILLAGE, Mich. (May 1, 2014) — A 14-year-old has been taken to a juvenile holding facility after the Montcalm County Sheriff’s Department says he was wielding a knife and holding his mother captive at a home.
Deputies responded to the 400 block of East Evergreen Street around 4:30 p.m. on Apr. 30. When they arrived, they found that the mother, father, and two younger siblings had already gotten out of the home safely.
No one was injured and the teen is being held at a facility in Evart pending a hearing in juvenile court.
