GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (May 1, 2014) — The Grand Rapids NBA Development team announced the four finalists for the team’s new nickname.
The four finalists are: Drive, Chairmen, Horsepower, and Blue Racers.
Fans will be able to vote for their favorite name and submit feedback through the franchise’s website www.grdleague.com. Voting runs from today to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, May 10. The official name and logo will be revealed at a time to be announced.
Fans were previously allowed to offer their own nicknames for the new franchise and more than 3,000 were submitted. The Grand Rapids D-League team will begin play this November with home games at the Delta Plex. Fans can already begin purchasing season tickets.
