ISABELLA COUNTY, Mich (May 1, 2014) – Deputies in Isabella County are working to find a Ford pickup truck that was involved in a crash that sent a man to the hospital this afternoon.
The collision happened on northbound U.S. 127 just north of Herrick Road around 2:00 p.m.
Authorities say a Ford F-250, either silver or gray in color, rear-ended a trailer being hauled by a 2006 Chevrolet Colorado.
The collision caused the driver of the Chevy to lose control and crash into the median, rolling over in the process. The driver of the Chevy, 84-year-old Samuel James Fowler of Engadine, was extricated from the truck and flown to Spectrum Hospital for treatment. His current condition is unknown.
The driver of the Ford F-250 fled the scene. The vehicle is believed to be from the 2004-2006 model years. The Ford should have front end damage as well.
If you see a damaged silver or gray Ford F-250, call the Isabella County Sheriff’s Department at 989-772-5911.
