Forecast: Less Wind, More Rain

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (April 28, 2014) — Monday was a very windy day  in West Michigan. The above image shows some of the peak wind gusts Monday. In addition to these cities, here are some other peak wind gusts on Monday:

  • Norton Shores, 49 mph.
  • Kentwood, 46 mph.
  • East Grand Rapids, 49 mph.
  • Holland, 46 mph.

The wind will easing somewhat Tuesday as the coverage of rain increases.

Although some areas may get over an inch, there should be minimal impacts on the swollen rivers.
