8-Year-Old Leukemia Patient Runs 30-Yard Touchdown During Kansas State Spring Game

K-State TouchdownMANHATTAN, Kan. (FOX 4, April 27, 2014)- Kansas State coach Bill Snyder called timeout during the third quarter of the Purple vs. White Spring Football Game to allow eight-year old Kaiden Schroeder. He suffers from Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia, an opportunity to run in a 30-yard touchdown for the Purple.

Kaiden took the hand off from quarterback Jake Waters and took it 30 yards into the end zone for the touchdown. 

Following Schroeder crossing the goal line, the fans inside Bill Snyder Family Stadium gave him a standing ovation while he was hoisted upon the shoulders of the Wildcats and was mobbed by the entire team in the end zone.

Purple went on to beat White 23-13.
