PORTER, Ind. (April 6, 2014) — The four-month search for a missing Kalamazoo doctor may have come to a tragic end.
The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office released the following statement just after 2:30 p.m. Eastern on Sunday afternoon:
“On April 6, 2014 a fisherman found a body in Lake Charles in Porter, Indiana. The identity is unknown at this time. The Indiana State Police is investigating the incident. The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office has no further comment at this time.”
This is the same area that a car belonging to Teleka Patrick, 30, was found in December. Patrick had gone missing after leaving work at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo.
FOX 17 spoke with the Patrick family this afternoon. They declined to speak, but said they are currently “in mourning.”
FOX 17 will continue to bring updates throughout the evening and will be live in Porter during our 10:00 newscast.
