GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (Apr. 2, 2014) — So you want to be a hockey player, eh?

Griffins forward Mitch Callahan was struck in the face by a shot from teammate (and roommate) Ryan Sproul in the first period of Wednesday’s game against the Iowa Wild. Callahan left the ice bloodied and with a few teeth missing (Callahan was already missing his front two teeth before the game).

Afterwards, he posted a selfie on twitter that showed the damage. The Griffins went on to win the game 6-1.
