GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (March 31, 2014) — An overnight domestic assault situation has led to police searching an apartment for a suspect, and a stolen handgun.
Officers had surrounded an apartment near Valleywood Drive SE, after what appeared to be an argument over a woman. One man ended up disarming someone with a gun, and a shot was fired. Nobody was hit, but one person was severely beaten.
Police had urged people to avoid the area. No suspects are in custody at this time.
