INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (March 30, 2014) — The youngest team in the country had just enough to get past the defending national runners-up.
Nik Stauskas’s half-court heave missed after Aaron Harrison’s three-pointer with 2.3 seconds left, and eighth-seed Kentucky outlasted second-seed Michigan, 75-72, to send the Wildcats to their third Final Four in four seasons.
Stauskas scored a game-high 24 points for the Wolverines, who traded the lead back and forth with Kentucky for most of the second half.
Jordan Morgan had 11 points and four rebounds in his final game for Michigan, who finished their Big Ten championship season 28-9.
