DOUGLASS TOWNSHIP, Mich. (March 29, 2014)- A three-year-old child is recovering at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital after being found unresponsive in a pond behind a home.
According to the Michigan State Police, the incident happened around 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Tucker Evans was found by his father in a pond behind their home in Montcalm County. Tucker was not breathing and his father started resuscitation.
When Troopers got on scene the Tucker was breathing on his own.
Tucker was then transported to Kelsey Hospital in Lakeview before being taken to Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital in Grand Rapids. He is in critical condition.
It is still unknown at this time how long Tucker was in the pond.
This incident is still under investigation by the Michigan State Police.
