GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (March 22,2014)- The Grand Rapids Police Department is looking for suspects in two separate shooting that happened overnight on the city’s southeast side.
The first shooting happened around midnight on Oakdale Street near Eastern Avenue SE. According to the Grand Rapids Police Department a 33-year-old man was shot. He sustain non-life threatening injuries and was taken to a local Grand Rapids Hospital for treatment.
The second shooting happened around 4 a.m. Saturday morning near the intersection of Franklin Street and Geneva Avenue SE. Police tell FOX 17 that the victim was walking down Franklin St. when the suspect approached the victim and tried to rob them. The victim then started running and that is when the suspect open fire, striking the man in the back and knee.
The victim was taken to a local Grand Rapids Hospital for treatment.
