MECOSTA COUNTY, Mich. (March 22,2014)- A person from Big Rapids is dead after a snowmobile crash Friday, that’s according to the Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office.
It happened in a field near the intersection of 13 Mile Rd. and 120th Ave in Martiny Twp. Deputies said the 39-year-old hit a tree and fell off the snowmobile. The victim was dead at the scene.
Investigators said alcohol and poor weather conditions were factors in the crash.
The victim’s name has not been released.
