MARSHALL, Mich. (March 21, 2014) — Meteorologists are keeping their eyes on sections of the Kalamazoo River in Calhoun County.
The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids just issued a Flood Advisory for the stretch of river that flows near the city of Marshall. The river is currently at 5.7 feet, but would reach it’s banks at just six feet. Flood stage is anything above eight feet.
The flood advisory is posted through Sunday at 10 pm and officials are warning of flooding near farmland and low-lying areas along the river.
