GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (Mar. 20, 2014) — The Ferris State Bulldogs are the top seed in the upcoming WCHA Final Five and expect plenty of fan support with the games being played at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids. It’s about an hour south of Big Rapids.
Ferris State takes on Alaska-Anchorage Friday night at 7:07 p.m. ET in the second semifinal of the tournament. Minnesota State-Mankato will take on Bowling Green in the first semifinal game at 2:07 p.m. ET.
The Bulldogs also expect plenty of support coming from the guy in front of their net. Junior goaltender CJ Motte was named one of ten finalists for the Hobey Baker Award. The award is given out annually to the nation’s top collegiate hockey player.
