Man Critically Injured After Being Hit By A Vehicle

WYOMING, Mich. (March 15, 2014)- A man is in a local Grand Rapids hospital after being struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle.

According to the Wyoming Department of Public Safety, the incident happened around 7:20 a.m. Saturday morning in the 600 block of 36th street SW. When officers got to the scene they found a 52-year-old man unresponsive in the roadway. Officers then began to investigate a hit and run accident involving the man. The man was travelling westbound on 36th street when he was struck.

Wyoming Police are asking the public for assistance in identifying and locating the vehicle and driver who may have been involved in the crash. Officers believe the vehicle may have a partially damaged passenger-side mirror.
