Vincent Isaac-Peter Jones was wanted on an outstanding felony warrant when he was taken into custody Jan. 28.

Jones was riding in a car that crashed into a snowbank on Morgan Road in Battle Creek during a chase.

The driver of the vehicle, Ada Kittell, fled from police when they tried to pull them over, according to court documents.

Officials say Jones attempted to flee on foot, and allegedly resisted officers when they tried to apprehend him.  They discovered he was armed with two handguns after he was handcuffed.

He is being charged with felony firearm possession.  According to court documents he has multiple weapon and drug charges dating back to February 2008.
