(Mar. 11, 2014) Sarah Brodhead talks to Holly and Nate Kroeze with the Down Syndrome Association of West Michigan about the event 3.21 Shop! and how it supports the association. This takes place from March 17th – 23rd with World Down Syndrome Day on March 21st. The community will be able to purchase green key chains in order to show their support for the DSAWM.
In return for their donation, supporters will be entitled to discounts and promotions at local retailers all throughout West Michigan when they present their key chains at participating shops. Retailers span from downtown Grand Rapids to Rockford to the lake shore including shops such as Olives, The Rockford Corner Bar and Dockside. Key chains will be for sale at specified shops and online closer to the date of the event for a charitable donation of $10. A complete listing of participating businesses can be found here.
