WALKER, Mich. (March 11, 2014) — A ruptured gas line led to the evacuation of a couple dozen apartment units at a complex in Kent County Tuesday morning.
The issue is happening at the Old Orchard Apartments on 4 Mile near Alpine Avenue in Walker. Residents in at least one building were urged to leave while energy crews investigated the situation.
The Walker Fire Department allowed residents to return shortly after 10am to their apartments.
