SHERIDAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (March 10, 2014) — A Walkerville woman was killed Monday after a head-on collision in Sheridan Township, according to Michigan State Police.
Frances Brink, 57, was driving a Chevy Blazer on Maple Island Road just north of 96th Street when a northbound car crossed the center line and crashed into her vehicle at about 12:15 p.m.
Brink was taken by AeroMed to the hospital and pronounced dead shortly after arriving, according to a release. Both her husband and the driver of the northbound vehicle are currently in serious condition.
Witnesses at the scene told police that Brink attempted to avoid the collision but was unable to. The incident remains under investigation.
