MUSKEGON, Mich. (Feb. 26, 2014) — The man accused of recording women in the tanning booths at the Planet Fitness where he worked waived his preliminary hearing in Muskegon County District Court Wednesday.

The 25-year-old was arrested Feb. 12 after allegedly videotaping women as they tanned at the Planet Fitness on Henry Street.

According to police, Jannenga initially denied placing a phone in the tanning bed, and also called police to say that his iPhone had been stolen.  Police say he later admitted that he was behind the recording.

Jannenga’s case was bound over to Muskegon County Circuit Court.  He faces felony charges of capturing/distributing images of an unclothed person and false report of a felony.

The judge also upheld the $100,000 bond for Trent Jannenga.  Jannenga has also been ordered by the court to stay away from women.
