HOLLAND, Mich. (Feb. 20, 2014) — A 38-year-old man has died after police say his roommate, a 46-year old woman, stabbed him in the chest during a domestic dispute.
Holland Police responded to East 20th Street at 8:37 on Feb. 19 for a report of a stabbing. According to a news release, witnesses say the suspect stabbed the victim, despite another resident’s efforts to keep them apart.
The victim was treated on scene and then taken to an area hospital. Following surgery, he passed away overnight.
The suspect is in custody facing charges, and her name has not been released pending review of the charges from the Ottawa County Prosecutor’s Office and arraignment expected on Feb. 20.
No information about what caused the dispute has been released.
