ALLEGAN COUNTY, Mich (February 17, 2014) – A church in Overisel Township near Hamilton was destroyed by a fire on Monday.
The Antioch Fellowship Center was in the 3900 block of 37th Street.
Members of the church could be seen pouring through the rubble to search for a cross. The remnants were still smoldering by 5pm Monday.
Fire crews believe a furnace malfunction may be partly to blame. Someone was working on the furnace around noon and went to get parts, then came back to find the structure on fire.
