ST. JOSEPH TOWNSHIP, Mich. (Feb. 16, 2014) — A man was arrested Friday after a failed robbery attempt in St. Joseph Township.

According to a Sunday release from St. Joseph Public Safety, the 49-year-old man was arrested for attempting to rob the Pri-Mart Quick Shop at Washington and Hilltop Road and the AGO station at Niles and Napier.

The clerk at Pri-Mart refused to give the suspect money, and the clerk at the AGO never came to the counter, according to police.

The man allegedly robbed the same AGO station on Feb. 4 and was wearing the exact same clothes when he was arrested Friday.  He was not armed during the alleged incidents.

The suspect is currently in jail for the attempted robbery charges, but officials will also seek charges for the Feb. 4 robbery.
