SPRINGFIELD, Mich. (Feb. 16th, 2014)- A 19-year-old male is in the Calhoun County Jail after a home invasion early Sunday morning.
According to the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded to a home on Avenue A in Springfield on a report of a home invasion. When deputies arrived on scene, they found the home broken into and electronics stolen from the home.
Deputies then tracked the suspect to a nearby residence also on Avenue A. Deputies then obtained and executed a search warrant on that residence, deputies located the stolen property as well as small amounts of crack cocaine. Deputies then arrested the 19-year-old male from Springfield.
The suspect is lodged at the Calhoun County Jail, where he will be arraigned on charges of home invasion and possession of crack cocaine.
