Ottawa County Confirms Two Flu-Related Deaths

WEST MICHIGAN, (February 10, 2014)-The Ottawa County Health Department confirmed Monday, they have had two flu-related deaths this season. Officials didn’t have exact ages or circumstances but say they have had over 1,000 cases of influenza-like illness.

In Kent County there have been four flu related deaths, all over the age of 50. According to the latest data from Jan. 23, there have been 522 reported flu cases in Kent County this season.

There have also been confirmed deaths in Kalamazoo, Van Buren and Barry counties.
