GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (Feb. 10, 2014) — Michigan State Police said a 52-year-old Jenison man was killed Monday after a rollover crash on eastbound I-196 near Lane Avenue.

The accident was reported at about 4:17 p.m, according to Grand Rapids Police Department.  The victim was pinned underneath his truck when crews arrived on the scene.

A 40-year-old Grand Rapids woman was a passenger in the truck.  She did not appear to be injured but was still transported to the hospital.

State police believe reckless driving may have been a factor in the crash.  They said they received reports of a truck matching this truck’s description driving erratically on the highway.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash. The highway was cleared around 7:45 p.m.
