KENT COUNTY, Mich. — A deputy with the Kent County Sheriff’s Department is on leave after being charged with steroid possession.
According to Undersheriff Jon Hess, Deputy Mike Carlson and a cadet in the department were both recently arraigned on charges of misdemeanor steroid possession.
The cadet, Travis Otten, is no longer employed with the department.
An internal investigation into the incident is still being conducted, according to Hess.
