CASNOVIA, Mich. — The Muskegon County Sheriff’s Office says four people are confirmed dead and two others are injured, after a traffic accident that happened on Friday morning.
The crash occurred at around 6:30 a.m. near the round-about of Apple Ave (M-46) and Newaygo Road (M-37) in Casnovia Township. Apple Ave will be closed between Waterloo and Newaygo Road while crews investigate. They did not anticipate it re-opening until 10:30 a.m. at the earliest.
In a live interview with FOX 17 News, officials said weather was likely a factor in the crash. It began with one vehicle spinning out. The occupants of that vehicle then witnessed an SUV also losing control. That SUV was then involved in a t-bone accident with a pickup truck. All four fatalities were within the SUV.
