WEST MICHIGAN — (FOX 17) — The roads are getting very messy very quickly this evening in West Michigan. Not only is there falling snow but blowing snow as well. A winter weather advisory remains in effect until 10:00pm. Snowfall amounts will only be one to three inches, but the wind gusts of over 40 miles per hour are creating near white-out conditions in many areas.
This snow will end before midnight, but another round of snow is on the way Saturday. A winter storm watch has been issued for south of I-96 all the way to the Indiana border starting late Friday night and continuing through Saturday evening. Another six inches of snow is expected.
