ALBION, Mich. — Jackie McConnell, a man tied to the murder investigation of his girlfriend, was arraigned Wednesday on weapons charges and failing to register as a sex offender.
McConnell, 47, was arrested in North Carolina Sunday. He is currently being transported back to Michigan.
His girlfriend, 42-year-old Donna Frost, was found dead after being reported missing Jan. 22. Information obtained by North Carolina detectives led officials to the 28000 block of F Drive S. in Albion Township, where the body was located.
McConnell was charged Wednesday with felony firearms, firearms and two counts of failing to register as a sex offender.
