MSP Led On Chase In Blizzard Like Conditions

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Mich. — Michigan State Police Troopers were led on a chase Friday evening in blizzard like conditions through St. Joseph County.

MSP responded to the area of Colon Township after a tip that a wanted fugitive was in the area driving a stolen truck. After a lengthy chase, the driver ended up at a dead-end behind a residence in Calhoun County.

The driver was taken into custody and upon searching a shotgun was found in the vehicle along with ammunition and suspected stolen property.

The 18-year-old male from Battle Creek was arrested on numerous charges including flee and elude, stolen vehicle, felon in possession of a firearm and driving while license suspended as well as an outstanding felony warrant for stolen vehicle and three outstanding misdemeanor warrants.
