Another Round of Light Snow Sunday

Posted

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — There’s no rest for the weary as far as winter weather is concerned around West Michigan this weekend, as another clipper system will bring some additional light snow to the region Sunday.

There will be a brief reprieve from the snow overnight Saturday night into early Sunday, and winds will diminish somewhat.  But temperatures will continue to drop into the single digits, making it nearly impossible to see any significant improvement in road conditions.

Another clipper system will track through the Great Lakes on Sunday.  Snow will develop by mid-morning and continue into the early afternoon.  This will drop about one to three inches of additional snow, especially for areas south of Grand Rapids and Lansing.  The new snow will be just enough to leave a fresh slippery coating on area roads.

Behind that system, temperatures will plummet again, dropping into the single digits on Monday and staying below 10° until probably Wednesday at the earliest in many spots.

Long story short — our brutal winter weather continues around West Michigan this weekend and beyond. Details on the 7 Day Forecast and interactive radar can be found on the Weather page.
