GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — As if the rivalry between Davenport and Cornerstone needed any more excitement, their matchup Saturday has been selected as the NAIA Game of the Week.
No. 6 Cornerstone is 18-3 overall and sits in first place in the WHAC at 12-1. No. 13 Davenport was the team that handed the Golden Eagles their only conference loss, 81-80 at Cornerstone on November 20. The Panthers are 17-4 overall and 10-3 in conference play.
Davenport will host Cornerstone at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday at the DU Student Center.
The matchup will feature the top two scorers in the league, Davenport’s Dominez Burnett (19.95 ppg) and Cornerstone’s Wes Hudson (19.05 ppg).
