Winter Storm Warning

WEST MICHIGAN — (FOX 17) — Allegan and Ottawa Counties remain under a winter storm warning until 7AM Thursday. The rest of West Michigan is under a winter weather advisory.

This image from FOX 17 Doppler radar shows an area of heavy lake-effect snow west of U.S. 131 in Van Buren, Allegan, and Ottawa Counties. Throughout the night, this lake-effect band will shift to the south into far Southwest Lower Michigan. Additional accumulations of 4 to 6 inches will occur tonight.

Here’s a look at some of the snowfall totals so far from the National Weather Service:

  • Cloverville (Muskegon Co.):  10.0″
  • Bridgeton (Newaygo Co.):  14.0″
  • Fruitport (Muskegon Co.):  11.0″
  • Norton Shores:  8.1″
  • Muskegon:  6.7″
